The primary objective is to win tricks containing tens, which adds a unique layer of strategy to the gameplay.

Also known by names such as Mendi, Mendhi, MindiKot, Mendhi Coat, and Dehla Pakad ("Collect the tens"), Mindi is traditionally played by four players forming two partnerships seated opposite each other. The game utilizes a standard 52-card deck.

The initial dealer is determined by the player who draws the highest card; this player shuffles the deck and distributes 13 cards to each participant.

The game features two distinct modes:

• Hide Mode: The player to the dealer’s right selects a card and places it face down on the table, which becomes the trump suit for that round.
• Cut Mode: The play commences without a designated trump suit. If a player cannot follow suit, their chosen card then becomes the trump for that deal.

Once a trump suit is established, the highest card of that suit played in a trick secures the win for that trick. If no trump cards are used, the highest card of the leading suit wins. The winner of each trick leads into the next round, with all captured tricks kept in a face-down pile by the winner.

If one partnership captures three or four of the Tens, they win the hand. Capturing all four Tens is referred to as "Mendicot."

The scoring system awards one game point for each hand won, and the first team to reach five points is declared the overall winner.
